PerthshireHour Podcast schedule (10th May till 12th July)

In this ‘extra’ episode, we looked ahead to the forthcoming ten weeks of podcast episodes and put out a call to local businesses, organisations, charities, and creatives that might like to be involved.

There’s a huge variety of themes and topics ahead of us so have a listen and think about whether there’s one or more episodes that you’d like to be a part of. (Please note that both audio and text contributions are equally welcome. You won’t have to record yourself if you don’t want to.)

1 Wednesday the 10th of May

Exploring Nature in Perthshire – This episode will discuss the natural wonders of Perthshire, including its many hiking trails, parks, and scenic spots, as well as any wildlife that can be found in the area.

2 Wednesday the 17th of May

History of Perthshire – This episode will feature a discussion on the history of the area, highlighting significant events, people, and places that have contributed to the region’s unique character and charm.

3 Wednesday the 24th of May

Best Places to Eat and Drink in Perthshire – This episode will feature a list of the best local restaurants, cafes, and bars, with a discussion of their menus, atmospheres, and unique features that make them stand out.

4 Wednesday the 31st of May

Local Festivals and Events – This episode will feature a rundown of the various festivals and events that take place in the Perthshire area, including music festivals, cultural celebrations, and sporting events.

5 Wednesday the 7th of June

Hidden Histories of Perthshire – This episode will discuss some of the lesser-known historical facts and figures about the area, including local legends and folklore, unusual buildings and landmarks, and forgotten stories from the past.

6 Wednesday the 14th of June

The Role of Perthshire Businesses in Supporting the Local Community – This episode will feature interviews with local business owners and leaders, discussing their commitment to supporting the local community and how they go about doing so.

7 Wednesday the 21st of June

The Creative Scene in Perthshire – This episode will showcase some of the most talented creatives in the area, including artists, musicians, writers, and designers, discussing their work, inspirations, and the challenges of working in a rural area.

8 Wednesday the 28th of June

Charitable Organizations Making a Difference in Perthshire – This episode will focus on the charitable organizations operating within the Perthshire area, discussing their mission, achievements, and impact on the local community.

9 Wednesday the 5th of July

The Future of Perthshire’s Economy – This episode will feature interviews with experts and thought leaders on the economic future of the Perthshire area, including the opportunities and challenges faced by local businesses and entrepreneurs.

10 Wednesday the 12th of July

Perthshire’s Hidden Gems – This episode will feature interviews with locals who have discovered some of the area’s hidden gems, such as little-known businesses, off-the-beaten-path destinations, and unique experiences that can only be found in Perthshire.
